who we are

A sisterhood of
service since 2020

AIC (International Association of Charities) was founded in 1617 by Saint Vincent de Paul. Together with a group of women in Châtillon, France, he organized the first Confraternity of Charity.

With the motto “Against Poverty, Let Us Act Together,” AIC has become a worldwide network of projects. Today, it is present in many countries across Europe, Latin America, North America, Asia, and Africa, bringing together approximately 42 associations and 250,000 volunteers. All are committed to striving to live out, in a way that is relevant to our times, the fundamental mission of our Founder.

Ladies of Charity AIC Miami has been made up of lay women since September 27, 2020. It is part of the international network founded by Saint Vincent de Paul in 1617.
